When we are talking about raising
children you can approach the subject in two ways: education skills
or social skills. In both cases it really depends on parents,
their culture, how they were raised, where they are located.
Regarding education, you can't
change the way the education system is settled but you can chose the
best school that you can afford. Sometimes when parents want their
children to obtain a degree they get “lost” in the fame of
schools or colleges and forget that their children are supposed to
learn something and make an effort, instead of being given everything
done and easy. In my case, my mother never had the chance to have
further education so she is really keen on me making use of this
opportunity right, so in the future I can find employment and work
for someone who doesn't exploit me.
When
we talk about social skills and awareness of the world around us it
depends on the culture and how your parents were raised. If your
parents have progressive ideas you are most likely to acquire them
too. Of course in this case your actions play a big role
too, like what you chose to watch on TV, what you chose to read, etc.
In the end, "all" you have to do is get a good school and raise your child not to be a jugdamental asshole and then hope that, as they grow up, they don't turn out to be an obnoxious and bigoted adult.
