Advertising

Are commercials and adverts affecting today's society? YES, and a thousand times yes. 

Advertising really fascinates me because they make you need and want in your life something that maybe, before watching the advert, you didn't even know it existed. They make this possible with high quality productions, catchy jingles, powerful slogans... that you don't forget even in years time. 

They make you associate ideas, phrases, rhythms to their product and I don't think this is necessarily a bad thing if you are critic and don't believe everything that you are told through media. Maybe if you see an advert to a cleaning product and the commercial says that “it's the best in the market”, instead of believing it, do a little research before and confirm or refuse this.

Some of the most influencing commercials in TV are the coca-cola ones, it doesn't matter what they do, it's going to be talked about. I love their adverts, in special one that it's called “security cameras” that in my opinion it spreads a positive message and a good influence while still selling their brand and their product.
